Olga Theocharous Papageorgiou

After completing her studies, Mrs Theocharous started her career in the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (currently, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism). During her career she has been posted in the Directorates of Quality Assurance, Strategic Development and Management and Development of Investment Projects, passing from various positions and undertaking duties in the areas of tourism strategy development, product development, investment, sustainability, tourism enterprises licensing, EU programmes etc.     

Currently, she is the Head of Tourist Accommodation Development and Tourism Sustainability Division. 

Mrs Theocharous is the UNWTO focal point in Cyprus since 2006.

She holds a BSc degree in Hotel Management, a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and the Cyprus Tourist Guide Diploma.
