Prof. Despina Serghides

Honoured by the World Renewable Energy Network (WREN) with the award of Life Pioneer, Professor Despina Serghides is at the CyI, leading several European projects in Energy Efficient Buildings and Sustainable Cities. The concepts of her research are presented and discussed at international fora, Universities and Academies and published in many international scientific books and journals. She was honoured with a lot of international and National awards, offices and scholarships. She was president of ISES-Europe, member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of ISES and ISES-Europe. She is the honorary president of ISES-Cyprus, of which she was the president and the founder. She was Professor at the Cyprus University of Technology. She obtained her Doctorate, her Master degree in “Architecture, Energy & Environment” her Post-Grad Planning and her Diploma in Architecture from the prestigious AA, School of Architecture in London.
